Nets Basketball to Celebrate IZOD Center and Meadowlands
March 19, 2010
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—NETS Basketball is celebrating the IZOD CENTER and the Meadowlands, presented by Hackensack University Medical Center.
As a thank you to their home for almost 30 years, the NETS will highlight historical moments with features that will be seen in-game, online, on television, radio, and in the arena publications.
“From the NETS’ debut on October 30, 1981 versus the Knicks, through the back-to-back NBA Final appearances and other exciting moments, we want to celebrate the IZOD CENTER and all of the great people who have worked there for so many years,” said NETS CEO Brett Yormark.
The NETS will celebrate the IZOD CENTER during their next home game against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, March 20, and will continue through the rest of the 2009-10 season with video tributes to legendary Nets moments that will be shown during each home game. The videos will also be showcased for fans to view on www.njnets.com the day after each game.
The NETS will also recognize a different department of the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority prior to each game.
In addition, a mayor from a surrounding area town will present the Game Ball as the team honors a different mayor during the final six March games.
The NETS are offering groups more than 40 percent off of tickets in select seat locations for all remaining home games. To take advantage of these offers fans should call NETS Group Sales at 201-806-7277 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
