VINCE CARTER NAMED
NBA EASTERN CONFERENCE
PLAYER OF THE MONTH

NEW YORK, April 19, 2007 – Vince Carter today was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for April, 2007.

Carter led the East in scoring with 29.0 ppg and he recorded two triple-doubles, his third and fourth of his career, while leading the Nets to a 7-2 record in the month and helping them secure the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

A Recap of Vince Carter's Month

April 7 vs. Washington: Had a triple-double with 46 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists in 120-114 win over the Wizards.

April 10 @ Washington: Notched 31 points, six assists and two steals in a 96-92 win over the Wizards.

April 15 @ Indiana: Tallied 35 points, four assists and five rebounds in a 111-107 win over the Pacers.

April 16 @ New York: Registered his second triple double of the month with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a 104-95 win over the Knicks.

April 18 vs. Chicago: Posted 24 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and two steals in a 106-97 win over the Bulls.


Vince Carter's efforts in April earned him Player of the Month.
