The Nets improved to 16-1 at home, with their 117-81 victory over the Celtics on Christmas Day...The 36-point victory over Boston marked the largest margin of victory the Nets have ever had against their Atlantic Division rival...The win also marked the 11th straight for the Nets at CAA...Richard Jefferson led all five starters with 22 points, and six players scored in double figures (Lucious Harris, 17; Kenyon Martin, 16; Kidd, 16; Rodney Rogers, 13; Jason Collins, 10)...Paul Pierce led all scorers with 27 points in the losing effort...New Jersey shot a staggering 54.2% (45-83) from the field, compared to just 32.4% (23-71) for Boston...The win improved New Jersey to 20-9, earning their best start in franchise history after 29 games.

Harris came off the bench to score 24 points on 10-16 shooting from the field...It marked the first time since Dec. 11, 1997 that every player who scored for the Nets scored at least 10 points in the game...Collins tallied a season-high 15 points, while Martin added 17 points and seven rebounds...Kidd finished with 13 points and 12 assists...Boston got as close as 10 points midway through the third but behind Harris’s 13 points in the final frame, the Nets were able to put the game away.

Jefferson tied his career-high with 27 points and lead the Nets in the win over the Boston Celtics at the Fleet Center...Martin added 22 points and Jason Kidd had nine points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists...The first half was a back and fourth battle as the Celtics led by as many as seven points at the 10:32 mark of the second quarter...However, over the next four minutes, the Nets went on a 16-3 run to give themselves a six point lead, and finished out the half with a 9-0 run over the final two and a half minutes to take a 55-43 lead...The Nets held Pierce and Antoine Walker to a combined 14-34 shooting and held the Celtics to 33.8% shooting from the field and 1-21 shooting from three-point range.
