Scholarships
The New Jersey Nets Foundation scholarship program recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership qualities and the desire to make a difference in the community. Students are selected based on their history of community service, financial need, and academic standing. Established in 1998, the program provides recipients with a $4,000 scholarship over a four-year period. Each scholarship is matched by the participating educational institution, raising the total financial package to $8,000.
Among the qualifications for the Nets scholarship program, applicants must have graduated from a New Jersey high school within the last two years, demonstrated an ongoing history of community service, demonstrated financial need, and the ability to do college level work.
Participating colleges/universities are: Bloomfield College, Essex County College, Hudson Community College, New Jersey City University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Passaic Community College, Rider University, Rutgers University-Camden/Newark, Seton Hall University, and William Paterson University.
