Nets Dancers Blog Brazil
Hey Nets fans!
Sadly, today was the last day of our São Paulo adventure. To kick off the third day of NBA 3X, we performed one of our dunk shows and two of our dances for the fans.
Throughout the day, we performed a total of three dunk shows and six dance routines, and our final dance in São Paulo was one of our new Brooklyn-themed dances. Check it out below!
It has been such a privilege experiencing the culture here in Brazil. Everyone has been so welcoming and the fans have had such a great energy. Being able to share a taste of the NBA experience with fans in São Paulo has been so much fun. Our first journey to Brazil has been unforgettable.
"Obrigada" to all of the new Brooklyn Nets fans in São Paulo!!
Hi Nets Fans!
What an eventful day it has been! We started the morning back at Parque Villa-Lobos for NBA 3X.
We began by warming up with all of the children partaking in NBA Cares, which immediately put a smile on my face. Seeing the joy the kids get out of playing basketball and cheering them on in the moment is always a touching experience. We then kicked off the event with an incredible dunk show followed by a few dance performances, two of which we will showcase during the upcoming season at Barclays Center.
Next we took a stroll to visit the event sponsors. During this time we met hundreds of our fans face to face as we signed autographs and took pictures with them. We then witnessed an amazing dunk competition, which our captain, Siobhan, had the privilege of judging. It was extremely exciting to see the Brazilian players showcase their talents! Before heading back to the hotel, we made sure to get a photo with the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
We closed the evening with a delectable dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse, better known as a churrascaria. Here we sampled some of the most mouth-watering meats, my favorite being the rump steak. Tomorrow is our final day in Brazil, so please stay tuned for our last blog!
Hey Nets fans! Today was the first day of NBA 3X in São Paulo. Our day started with an NBA Cares event, which is always so rewarding.
We then performed our dunk show and a few dance routines for all the fans that came to Parque Villa Lobos.
Afterwards, we headed over to the ESPN studio. Jen and Angelica took over the show and filled in for the news anchors for SportsCenter. We then performed one of our new Brooklyn routines on live television.
After a long, exciting day of performing and interacting with fans, we had an amazing dinner at a restaurant in the Jardins District. We can't wait to go back to the park tomorrow to do it all over again.
Stay tuned for more pictures from our upcoming events in São Paulo!
Oi Nets Fans,
We woke up well rested this morning and ready to start another exciting day in São Paulo. First we headed to Parque Villa Lobos for a quick rehearsal to ensure we are completely prepared to put on an amazing dance and dunk show for our fans tomorrow. We cannot wait to perform at the first ever NBA 3X event here in Brazil!
After rehearsal, we quickly got glammed up and headed to Parque do Ibirapuera for an exciting and adventurous photo shoot. We climbed the Monument dos Bandeirantes and literally stopped traffic. It was truly an experience I will never forget!
Once we were finished, we headed over to the Iguatemi Mall to indulge in some retail therapy. Shopping was followed by a wonderful dinner, great conversation, and the company of my wonderful teammates. We are off to bed early, excited for the 3X tournament to kick off tomorrow and ready to show Brazil what the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets are all about.
Olá Nets fans! It’s Angelica, and I'm coming to you from São Paulo, Brazil!
Today was the first day the Brooklynettes and I experienced this beautiful city. First we had a quick photo shoot at Parque Villa-Lobos, where the NBA 3X tournament will take place this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are excited to bring the authentic NBA entertainment experience to the fans here in Brazil!
After visiting the park, we performed for the Brazilian TV channel Bandeirantes. We did a few routines and even taught the host, Paloma, some new moves. We also met the dancers who perform for Brazil's Corinthians football club. They taught us the samba and other authentic Brazilian dances.
To end our day we had an amazing team dinner. Now we are resting up so that we can explore the city tomorrow and get a taste of its culture. Thanks for checking in with me on our trip, and I hope to see you cheering for the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center this season!
Hey Brooklyn Nets Fans!
It's Siobhan here at JFK airport getting ready to head to NBA 3X in Brazil. The other dancers and I are so excited to be representing Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Nets in South America. We have a late night flight, so we hope to be well rested and ready to go when we land in the morning. We have been practicing very hard for this trip in order to bring great entertainment to the people of São Paulo. We will be performing dunk routines, as well as debuting some of our brand new dances for this season to songs from some of Brooklyn's finest. Like JAY Z says, "Brooklyn We Go Hard!"
Can't wait to see you at a Nets game this season at Barclays Center!
