EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (November 16, 2005) – Nets players and coaches dished out an early Thanksgiving meal at the Christian Cultural Center, a Brooklyn-based church, to over 120 families in-need on Thursday, November 17 at 1:30 p.m. The Center is located at 12020 Flatlands Avenue, between Pennsylvania and Louisiana Avenues, in the Canarsie section of the borough.

The Christian Cultural Center, led by Rev. A.R. Bernard, has 24,000 members, the largest congregation in New York State, which includes Nets captain Jason Kidd. As part of the event, Nets players served hot turkey lunches with trimmings from Brooklyn’s renowned restaurant, Jive Turkey. In addition, the team packed and handed out frozen turkeys and various side dishes to the families for next Thursday’s holiday.
