Lieutenant Quathisha Epps was appointed to the New York City Police Department on July 11th, 2005. During her 11-year tenure in the police department she has worked in 3 Bureaus including the Housing Bureau, Transit Bureau and currently the Patrol Service Bureau.

Lieutenant Epps has played a vital role in organizing various community oriented initiatives including successfully distributing over 4,000 book bags and school supplies to disadvantaged children in the local communities and hosting a toy drive for over 5,000 children during the holidays.

Currently facing a bout with brain cancer, Lieutenant Epps is affectionately called the "Champ" because she is a fighter who doesn't quit and one who serves as a role model for many.
