Currently in his 20th season with the team, Bobby Marks was promoted to assistant general manager in July, 2010 after serving as the Nets’ vice president of basketball operations for four years. In his current role, Marks assists Nets General Manager Billy King in the areas of salary cap management, scouting, player personnel, preseason and regular season scheduling and the day to day business of basketball operations.

While in college, Marks was a member of the Marist football team, and received his B.A. in communications in 1995. Upon graduation, he joined the Nets as an intern in the public relations department and did a second internship in the basketball operations department. Hired in January of 1996 as a basketball operations assistant, Bobby is the longest tenured member of the department.

Marks was featured in Crain’s NY Business as a “40 Under 40” recipient this past May.

The Little Falls native currently resides in Morristown, New Jersey with his wife, Michelle, and two sons, Jake and Cooper.
