HOUSTON—Friday at Toyota Center, the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Houston Rockets, 114-95. Brook Lopez, returning to the lineup after missing seven games with a sprained ankle, led the starters with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting (6-7 FTs).
The Nets allowed a season-high 66 points in the first half, including 11 three-pointers. Coach Jason Kidd responded by sending out Tyshawn Taylor, Alan Anderson, Toko Shengelia, Mirza Teletovic and Lopez to start the third quarter. Teletovic set career-highs with 18 points (6-14 FGs) and 13 rebounds. Tyshawn Taylor added a 16-point, 12-assist double-double in 36 minutes.
The Nets head to Memphis for a Saturday game, closing out the two-game trip – and a stretch of 5 games in 7 nights – with a back-to-back set.
