Position: Shooting Guard
Experts’ Predicted Draft Position: Lottery to mid-first round.
Experts’ Take: Athletic specimen with great size and strength, Williams uses his tremendous leaping ability and strength to overpower opponents and attack the rim. He already has an NBA body with a long wingspan and is an excellent rebounder. He is a high flyer with the strength to finish in traffic. Williams is a strong all-around defender with the ability to contest shots and get in the passing lanes. Williams has the amazing versatility to play and defend multiple positions. Williams has all the physical tools and skills of a lottery pick, but he lacks a certain offensive polish that may scare away NBA scouts and GMs. He can be out of control at times and he is a weak free throw shooter. Williams also has some questions about his character, making it difficult to predict where he will go in the draft.
