Avery Johnson Throws 1st Pitch in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—NETS coach Avery Johnson trekked all the way out to Coney Island on Tuesday, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before that night's game between the Brooklyn Cyclones and Aberdeen Ironbirds at MCU Park. Johnson, who played some baseball in high school, made a clean line-drive toss. He said he's saving the curveball for next time.
Afterward, Johnson spoke with media about the pitch, the NETS moving to Brooklyn and Thursday's NBA Draft:
