BACKGROUND
Spent 2000-01 with the Connecticut Pride of the International Basketball League (IBL). Played for PAO in Cypress from 1997-2000. Was with the Connecticut Pride of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) during the 1998-99 season. Played two seasons in the United States Basketball League (USBL) with the Philadelphia Power and the Camden Power.
Played three years at Drexel. Ranked ninth in Drexel history in career points (1,430) and assists (328), fifth in free throws made (381) and steals (132) and sixth in three-pointers made (139) when he graduated. Holds school record for most minutes played in a season (1,134 in 1996-97).
As a senior at Drexel, averaged 16.3 points and 7.5 rebounds. Helped lead the team to a 22-9 record and an appearance in the NIT.
As a junior, was a First Team NAC selection. Averaged 18.7 points and 6.0 rebounds. Scored a career-high 35 points vs. New Hampshire. Led the team with 123 assists. Led Drexel with 18 points in a second round NCAA Tournament loss to Syracuse.
As a sophomore, averaged 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds. Finished second on the squad with 102 assists.
As a freshman at St. Francis, averaged 12.0 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Personal: Earned a business degree with emphasis on accounting. Has a five-month-old son Tai’jon Malik Myers. In addition to basketball, likes to play football and softball and swim. To relax, watches sitcoms and movies at home. Looking forward to a career in accounting after basketball career.
