Overview

Diabetes is a growing epidemic in the United States with recent estimates projecting that as many as 1 in 3 American adults will have diabetes by 2050. NBA/WNBA FIT, the NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League have partnered with Sanofi US and the American Diabetes Association in a strategic alliance to create awareness for this disease. We will work to promote the importance of healthy, active lifestyles, as well as diabetes awareness, prevention and management through the Dribble to Stop Diabetes campaign.

The newest ambassadors for the campaign include Andre Iguodala of the Denver Nuggets, 2012 WNBA Finals MVP Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever and Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers -- all of whom have personal connections with diabetes through friends or family members.
