OVERVIEW
The NBA FIT/ WNBA FIT Challenge is free for boys and girls ages 14 and under, and encourages participants to maintain healthy, active lifestyles. The competition will offer more than 100,000 youngsters the chance to demonstrate their physical fitness through a time-based fitness course that includes line sprints, jump rope, speed revolutions, wall passes, and defensive shuffles. The challenge tests participants’ speed, strength, agility, and overall physical fitness. Local competitions will take place nationwide from September through November and regional competitions will run through January 2010 in all NBA Markets and (5) D-League markets.
STRUCTURE

Three (3) levels of competition include:
- All youngsters MUST first compete in a Local Competition.
- The Champion in each age and gender group has the opportunity to advance to the NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Day Regional Competition. THE 1ST-PLACE LOCAL COMPETITION CHAMPIONS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCE TO THE NBA FIT DAY REGIONAL COMPETITION.*
NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Day Regional Competition: November 15, 2009, to January 15, 2010
- The Champion in each age and gender group has the opportunity to advance to the National Finals. THE REGIONAL COMPETITION CHAMPIONS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCE TO THE NATIONAL FINALS.**
- Regional Competition Champions will have their scores ranked nationally and the top two (2) finishers in each age and gender group will advance to the National Finals.
- The NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Challenge National Finals will take place during NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas, Texas.

*All Local Competition Champions will be notified by the NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Challenge Headquarters as to their advancement to the NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Day Regional Competitions.
