Miami HEAT Host April Pool's Day Party

On April 6th, the Miami HEAT teamed up with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and the American Red Cross to host the 9th Annual HEAT April Pool's Day. The event served as the launch of a summer long “Learn to Swim” community swim safety campaign and officially kicks off the swim season in South Florida. HEAT players Daequan Cook and Dorell Wright, along with the HEAT Dancers, got into the pool with children from the HEAT Academy’s Riverside Elementary for a special swimming lesson.

Additionally, the April 9th HEAT home game versus the Detroit Pistons will be “Water Safety Awareness Night,” where fans in attendance will be offered a $10 off swimming lesson coupon to be redeemed at select authorized providers of American Red Cross swimming lessons.
