Chef Chavez: Toasted Almonds & Raisins


8 oz. Almonds (Sliced)
1/4 cup Raisins
1 TBS. Canola/Olive Oil Blend
1/2 tsp. Kosher Salt


Pre-heat oven to 325.

1. Place almonds into a large mixing bowl.

2. Add raisins, oil and salt over the top.

3. Mix ingredients together well to evenly coat in oil.

4. Smooth ingredients into an even layer.

5. Place into the oven and bake at 325 for 5 minutes - mix ingredients and spread out on the sheet pan.

6. Bake an additional 5 minutes mix again and bake for 5 minutes until almonds are golden brown (repeat procedure again if almonds are not golden brown).

7. Remove almonds mixture from the oven and allow to cool.

8. Transfer to the proper storage container.

9. Cover, label, date, initial and store in a cool dry place.
