Amar'e Stoudemire Holds NBA FIT Clinic
APRIL 15, 2010 -- Phoenix Suns star Amar'e Stoudemire hosted an NBA FIT basketball clinic for two groups of youngsters at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Those children in attendance participated in the free clinic after being one of 50 to sign up for Stoudemire's Youth Basketball Academy for boys and girls to take place later this summer.
Stoudemire taught the kids on-the-court skills by participating in drills and rotating between stations for ball-handling, defense and rebounding, and lay-ups and shooting. He also took time to speak with them at center court, answering questions and emphasizing the importance of staying fit.
The Academy will run from June 7-10, 2010 at the Arizona Premier Basketball Academy in Gilbert, Arizona.
