Is It the Shoes?

One of the most exciting competitions during NBA All-Star is who will break out the coolest kicks.

"It's the biggest stage, All-Star weekend, and guys want to have the best shoe out there," Cleveland Cavaliers swingman LeBron James, who will wear his Nike All-Star Zoom LeBron III, told USA Today. "Personally, I take a lot of pride in it because I want to have the best shoe out there. I had the best one last year."

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, making his first All-Star start, will sport his red, white and blue Converse signature shoe — simply dubbed Wade. Kobe Bryant will put his feet back in the Nike shoe ring, sporting the Zoom Kobe I.

Allen Iverson's All-Star footwear is a celebration of his 10th year in the league. His first Reebok signature shoe was The Question. This weekend Iverson will be styling the Answer IX, featuring an on/off switch. Its technology allows players to slip on the shoe, turn on the pump and inflate the shoe to a comfortable level.

As John Horan of Sporting Goods Intelligencesaid in USA Today "This is a fun event where there is lots of TV coverage, talk about what the players are wearing. It's all become part of the whole all-star game weekend."
