SECAUCUS, N.J., April 24 -- NBA TV: Real Playoffs 2003, a new reality show on NBA TV -- the league's 24 hour television network -- will chronicle the lives of 16 NBA players - one from each of the 16 playoff teams - as they compete for the ultimate honor -- the NBA Championship title. The eight-episode weekly half-hour series makes its debut on Tuesday, April 29th at 6:00 PM/ET.

Cameras will follow the elite group of 16 on their quest for the trophy, whether it be on the way to the arena, pre-game in the locker room, on the court, or at home after the game. NBA TV: Real Playoffs 2003 will capture every twist and turn, every victory or upset, and every action and emotion each player experiences during this critical time in the season. Viewers will get the ultimate "inside look" at each player both on and off the court as their teams battle each night to advance to the NBA Finals.

"This series will give viewers a look at the NBA Playoffs through the eyes of some of their favorite players," said Steve Herbst, Vice President of Series Programming and NBA TV. "To experience the emotions these players feel, to connect with them on their journey through each series, to follow them as they hit the court each night - - viewers will feel like they are right there with the players every Tuesday night."

As teams get eliminated from the playoffs, the designated player will then be cast off the show, with the remaining players offering commentary as they progress through the series. At the end of the playoffs, one player will be left standing on Real Playoffs 2003 -- the one whose team captures the NBA Championship title.
