SECAUCUS, N.J. and PHOENIX, Aug. 31, 2005 – For almost 80 years, millions of people have been entertained by their fun-loving antics and dazzling basketball skills, and now NBA TV is bringing to life the history of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters in a series of five hour-long specials beginning Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. (ET).

The Globetrotters specials, hosted by NBA TV’s Andre Aldridge, delve into the Globetrotters rich history from the 1920’s up to the present.

Featured highlights from the specials include the following:
· Profiles of Globetrotters players throughout their celebrated history including Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain, Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton, "Geese" Ausbie and "Sweet" Lou Dunbar
· Footage from the Globetrotters’ unprecedented 20,000th career basketball game
· Never before seen video from the Globetrotters tour of U.S. military installations
· A special feature on the team’s upcoming 80th anniversary
· Exclusive interviews with Globetrotters’ Owner & Chairman, Mannie Jackson.

The second installment of the Globetrotters specials will debut on Sept. 10 at 7p.m. (ET), with the air dates for the remaining Globetrotters specials announced at a later time.
