Washington Wizards
Wizards Care is the community service program of the Washington Wizards. The entire organization - from team owners Irene and Abe Pollin to players, coaches and employees - is committed to investing time and resources to Wizards Care. By providing assistance to the youth, homeless and underserved in the D.C. metropolitan area, Wizards Care hopes to inspire others to do the same.

The Wizards Reading Timeouts get children excited about reading and to promote the value of reading and literacy. The Wizards will bring a special classroom on a field trip to the Verizon Center, where a Wizards player will read aloud with the students and talk about the importance of reading.
The Washington Wizards and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) are supporting the "Community Threes" initiative for the fifth consecutive season. For every three-point shot made by a Wizardsí player this season, CareFirst donates $100 to the Covenant House DC Peer Pregnancy Program.
