Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are champions on the court… and in the community. Through the combined efforts of the Lakers Community Relations Department and the Lakers Youth Foundation, the Lakers share their success with the people of Los Angeles. The Lakers work closely with schools, community youth organizations and other non-profit entities to impact our community through a variety of education, athletic, environmental and fan-appreciation initiatives.

Through the Read To Achieve campaign, the Lakers focus on literacy and instilling the joy of reading in the youth of Los Angeles. The Read To Achieve campaign consists of our reading challenge: “Be A Champion… And Read”, L.A.K.E.R Time Outs, Book Drives and Lakers Reading and Learning Centers. Learn more!
The Lakers are committed to teaching teamwork, sportsmanship, and the development of fundamental basketball skills to Los Angeles youth.
