Milwaukee Bucks
On the court, the Milwaukee Bucks mission is to play hard and pursue victory. Off the court, the Bucks mission is to contribute to a better quality of life in Milwaukee and Wisconsin, and positively affect the lives of all people in this community. It is with dedication and determination that the organization participates in numerous charitable and philanthropic endeavors. As highly visible members of the community, the Bucks players, coaches and front office staff acknowledge and accept their unique role in society and are pledged to improve the community's welfare through their expertise, energy, effort and dollars.
The Milwaukee Bucks Home Court Heroes program, presented by Kapco, Inc. honors an individual or individuals who, through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit, have made exceptional and lasting contributions to our community. Each month during the season, the Bucks will salute the exemplary efforts of selected Home Court Heroes during a special on-court presentation with Bucks players.
The Bucks host an annual Special Olympic Basketball clinic each season. Bucks players and coaches teach campers basketball fundamentals. The Bucks alo host a Special Olympics Night in which All-Star players from local Special Olympics leagues play in a special basketball exhibition during halftime.
The Milwaukee Bucks, The Northwestern Mutual Foundation and the Milwaukee County Federated Library System have partnered to execute the "Milwaukee Bucks Library Reading Challenge". The reading challenge is open to all Wisconsin young-adults in the 3rd - 10th grades. The purpose of the reading program is to promote literacy and library usage by youth in Milwaukee and statewide communities.

To perpetuate the basketball movement in his homeland, he donated $30,000 to the Australian NBL team, the Sydney Spirit, in 2008.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
After participating in Basketball without Borders at the age of 17, Mbah a Moute returned to Africa in 2009, this time as an NBA star to give back through program.
