NBA Green
The NBA is taking steps to become a more environmentally-friendly organization and continues to explore ways of improving in this area. The NBA Green initiative, highlighted by the annual NBA Green Week, serves as a reminder for fans that each of us can help to reduce our environmental footprint and that every bit helps. In partnership with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the NBA Green initiative is a concerted effort among the league and its teams and players to generate awareness and funds for protecting the environment.

From April 1-9, the NBA is hosting its second annual NBA Green Week in an effort to generate awareness and funds for protecting the environment. Get ahold of the gear that players are wearing during the week!
NBA Green Week 2009
During the inaugural NBA Green Week 2009, teams took steps towards “greening” their arenas and encouraging their fans to take part in greening initiatives. Team activation included auctions, PSAs, hands-on community service projects, recycling programs, green giveaways, and more.
