These partnerships have encouraged fans to take steps to become more environmentally aware, provided new resources for children’s education, and engaged kids and adults in physical activity and healthy living. The NBA welcomes its responsibility in using the game’s popularity and teams and players global celebrity to make for a better tomorrow.

NBA FIT/ WNBA FIT Dribble, Dish & Swish presented by Pepperidge Farm ® Flavor Blasted ® Goldfish ® crackers is a competition that gives participants the opportunity to showcase their fundamental basketball skills and physical fitness through a time-based, half-court obstacle course.
The NBA and WNBA, in collaboration with the Society for Adolescent Medicine (SAM) and sanofi pasteur, created Vaccines for Teens, a national multimedia campaign designed to educate teens and their parents about the importance of vaccination.
The Coaches for Kids program, launched during the 2008-09 NBA season, provides thousands of children from Boys & Girls Clubs with the chance to see NBA games in each of the league’s 29 markets as well as meet with and learn from the league’s coaches, GMs and athletic trainers.
HP Digital Assist
HP Digital Assist is an innovative education outreach initiative that launched at the beginning of the 2009-10 school year. This “learning through sports and technology” competition is being hosted for middle school students in Dallas, the Bay Area, Miami, Houston, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
The NBA FIT/ WNBA FIT Challenge, free for boys and girls ages 14 and under, offers more than 100,000 youngsters the chance to demonstrate their physical fitness through a time-based fitness course that includes line sprints, jump rope, speed revolutions, wall passes, and defensive shuffles.
In partnership with Timberland, NBA Cares is hosting two service projects in an effort to encourage community service and volunteerism. The partnership tipped off with a hands-on community service event in Philadelphia, Pa., and continues this February with a service project in Dallas, Texas, during NBA All-Star 2010.
