A graduate of North Carolina, Jamison won both the John Wooden and James A. Naismith Awards as the 1997-98 college Player of the Year after his junior season with the Tar Heels.
Jamison's first name is pronounced "an-TWON."
Fortson (6-8, 260) has played for three teams during his six-year career. He played in 17 games last season, averaging 3.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game. In 2001-02, Fortson appeared in 77 games, averaging 11.2 points and was the fourth-best rebounder in the NBA at 11.7 rpg. In 285 career games, Fortson has averaged 9.9 points and 8.6 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game.
Welsch (6-7, 208), a native of the Czech Republic, was the 16th pick in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft. He saw action in 37 games his rookie season, averaging 1.6 points in 6.3 minutes per game. The 23-year-old guard began his professional career at the age of 17 and is a member the Czech National Team.
Mills (6-7, 220) completed his fifth season with the Warriors and his 10th overall season in the NBA. In 21 games last season, he averaged 4.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game. Mills, who was the 22nd overall pick in the 1993 draft by Cleveland, has averaged 11.2 points and 4.9 re bounds in 568 career games. The former Arizona Wildcat is also an owner of a successful auto-accessory business in Los Angeles.
Van Exel (6-1, 195) finished his first full season with the Mavericks in 2002-03. He was acquired via trade with the Denver Nuggets on 2/21/02.
During the regular season, he averaged 12.5 points, 4.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game while making one start in 73 games played. In 20 playoff games, Van Exel was the team's second leading scorer at 19.5 ppg.
Johnson (5-11, 185) has played in more games (1,008) than any other player under six-feet in height in league history. In his 15th NBA season, Johnson appeared in 48 games, averaging 3.3 points and 1.3 assists in 9.0 minutes per game.
Eschmeyer (6-11, 250) completed his second season with the Mavericks, playing in 17 games with 3 starts, while averaging 1.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game. He has appeared in 153 games during his four-year NBA career.
Jones (6-8, 265) saw action in 26 games for Dallas in 2002-03 and averaged 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game. The 10-year veteran completes his second stint with the Mavericks, after originally playing for Dallas his first three seasons in the league.
Rigaudeau (6-7, 210) joined Dallas as a free agent on 1/17/03. He played in 11 games, averaging 1.5 points in 8.3 minutes per game. The native of France has 16 years of international playing experience and helped lead his country to a silver medal in the 2000 Olympic games.
