Mavs Sign Jason Sasser
DALLAS-The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have signed forward Jason Sasser. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Sasser (6-7, 225), a local product from Denton, Texas, is a former Texas Tech standout and was originally a second round draft pick of the Sacramento Kings in 1996. This will be Sasser’s second stint with Dallas after signing a 10-day contract in 1997. The physical forward saw action in two games as a Maverick.
Sasser has played on three NBA squads and has a career-high of 11 points, which he registered as a San Antonio Spur on 1/8/97. Most recently, Sasser played professionally in Germany in 2003-04 where he averaged 16.7 ppg and 5.4 rpg in FIBA Europe Cup games.
