DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced today 18 of their games this season will be shown on HDNet. The HDNet network broadcasts a fantastic, 24/7 high-definition lineup featuring more original high definition programming than any other domestic television network.
The slate of games begins this Saturday, Nov. 1 with the home opener against Utah at 7:30 p.m. CT. Other games on the network include Nov. 20 vs. San Antonio, Dec. 18 at Minnesota, Dec. 23 at Portland and Mar. 11 at Sacramento.
“We are excited to be the first team in the NBA showing a schedule of road games in HD,” said Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. “We hope this is just the beginning of our partnership with HDNet and that we can quickly grow this into a full schedule of games for HDNet.”
Since its launch in September 2001, HDNet has expanded to two 24x7 networks, HDNet and HDNet Movies, broadcasting a full schedule of news, sports and entertainment programming in 1080i HD, the highest-quality format of high-definition television (HDTV).
HDTV provides the highest level of digital broadcast quality available, delivering a crystal-clear 1080i resolution in a widescreen 16:9 picture format (16 units wide by 9 units high, compared with the 4:3 format of standard television sets). The result is “Television like you have never seen before.”
To watch the Mavs on HDNet, viewers need an HD capable television and receiver and must be subscribers to HDNet. To sign up for HDNet and
determine your eligibility to receive the Mavs in HD, contact your cable or satellite provider today or visit www.hd.net for more information. In Dallas, select High Definition Mavericks games will be available through HDNet on DIRECTV on channel 84, DISH Network on channel 9425 and Charter Communications on channel 772.
