When the Globetrotters came to town, Mavs owner Mark Cuban was asked to be player/coach for the opposing team, the New York Nationals. The Globetrotters were here for owner Mannie Jackson's 10th anniversary celebration and Cuban presented him with an award on behalf of the city of Dallas.
