Cuban Unveils Travelocity Magazine

On August 23, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban helped unveil Travelocity Magazine to the world. The unveiling took place at Club Clearview in Deep Ellum and comes on the heels of a newly developed partnership between the Dallas Mavericks and Travelocity.com. The partnership, called Reunion Roadies, allows Mavericks fans that travel to road games free game tickets if they book their travel through Travelocity.com.

"We are excited about taking our Reunion Rowdies on the road," said Cuban. "By partnering with Travelocity.com, we are able to offer our fans an easy, convenient way to receive an incredible deal on travel."

Fans who purchase their travel to a Mavericks road-game destination via the Reunion Roadies link on the Mavericks website will receive a free road-game ticket, valued up to $35, from team owner Mark Cuban. Groups purchasing travel for 100 or more Mavericks fans will receive free tickets valued up to $50. The promotion tips off with the first Mavericks road game at Denver on Nov. 6, and all travel must be purchased at least 10 days in advance of the game.

"We're excited about bringing together three things that people love -- sports, travel and the Internet," said Terrell B. Jones, president and chief executive officer of Travelocity.com. "This promotion is a great cross-marketing opportunity, a great new way to sell travel and a great way for Travelocity.com to support a local Dallas business."

Travelocity.com will power the Reunion Roadies link on the Mavericks Web site. In addition to air, car and hotel accommodations, the site will also include destination information, including maps, restaurants and other local attractions. The Mavericks compete in 41 road games and the Reunion Roadies promotion ends when the Mavericks battle the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, Calif., on April 16.
