Mavs Re-Sign Bradley

After Cuban made the official announcement, Bradley addressed media and answered questions.

DALLAS, Aug. 8, 2001--The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have re-signed center Shawn Bradley to a contract. As per team policy, the terms of the contract were not released.

The eight-year pro has played the last four-and-a-half seasons with the Mavericks. He was acquired from New Jersey along with Ed O'Bannon, Robert Pack and Khalid Reeves for Sam Cassell, Chris Gatling, Jim Jackson, George McCloud and Eric Montross on February 17, 1997. He has career averages of 10 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.1 blocks in 27.7 minutes per game.

Bradley was one of four Mavericks to play all 82 games last season. He averaged 7.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and a team-high 2.78 blocks in 24.4 minutes per game. His blocks average ranked fifth in the league last season.
