Dallas entered the playoffs as the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. Dallas finished the 2001-02 campaign with the best record in franchise history at 57-25, in which the Mavs notched a league-high 27 road wins, also a franchise high.

For all Mavs playoff games, fans can sign up for the painted fan contest beginning three hours prior to tipoff.
