Official release: Local TV schedule announced

DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced their local television schedule today which includes 41 games on FSN Southwest and 30 on TXA21. All games can be heard on ESPN Radio 103.3 FM and in Spanish on 1270 AM KFLC.

 

TXA21 tips off their broadcast schedule with four games in the preseason (Oct. 15 at Indiana, Oct. 16 at Detroit, Oct. 21 vs. Chicago and Oct. 23 vs. Indiana). They begin coverage for the 2008-09 regular season on November 1 as the Mavericks travel to Minnesota.  Some of TXA21’s telecasts include games against San Antonio (Nov. 4, Dec. 9, Feb. 24, Mar. 4), the defending Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Lakers (Nov. 11, Nov. 28), Phoenix (Jan. 9, Mar. 10), New Orleans (Jan. 14, Apr. 10) and Golden State (Jan. 28, Mar. 13, Mar. 25).  In total, TXA21 will carry 15 games at home and 15 on the road.

 

FSN Southwest will cover 22 home games and 19 road games. Their schedule features games against Denver (Nov. 7, Dec. 15, Jan. 13), Utah (Jan. 17), Detroit (Mar. 17), L. A. Clippers (Nov. 9, Dec. 2, Dec. 28, Jan. 6) and Oklahoma City (Feb. 27, Mar. 2).

 

Mark Followill returns for his eighth season with the Mavericks and fourth season as television play-by-play announcer for all TXA21 and FSNSW telecasts. Bob Ortegel will continue to bring his 20 plus years of experience broadcasting Mavericks basketball to the telecast as the team’s color commentator.   

 

Now in his fourth season as the play-by-play voice of the Mavericks on ESPN 103.3 FM is Chuck Cooperstein.  Cooperstein has been a regular on the Dallas/Fort Worth sports scene since 1984 and has been an anchor on ESPN 103.3 FM since the station’s inception in 2001. He will be joined this season by former Dallas guard Brad Davis, one of two Mavericks to have their jersey retired. Also, Victor Villalba is back to call all the action for the Mavericks Spanish broadcasts on 1270 AM KFLC.

 

Although the HD status is subject to change, all Mavericks games can be seen in high definition this season on either HDNet, TXA21-HD or FSN-HD.
