02.11.11 - DOMINIQUE JONES UNDERGOES FOOT SURGERY:
The Dallas Mavericks announced today that guard Dominique Jones underwent surgery to address a stress fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. The surgery was performed by Dr. T.O. Souryal of Texas Sports Medicine. No timetable has been set for his return.

Jones (6-5, 215) was originally the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. The Mavericks acquired his rights from Memphis in exchange for cash considerations in a draft day trade. Jones has seen action in 18 games for the Mavericks this season and holds averages of 2.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 7.5 minutes per game.

01.04.11 - BUTLER UNDERGOES SURGERY ON PATELLAR TENDON:
Mavericks forward Caron Butler underwent surgery today to repair a ruptured right patellar tendon. The surgery was performed by team physician Dr. T.O. Souryal at Texas Sports Medicine. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

In 29 games this season, Butler averaged 15.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists and 29.9 minutes.

11.15.09 - DALLAS - Prior to tonight's game at Detroit, Erick Dampier became ill. Dampier was was accompanied by Mavericks Head Athletic Trainer Casey Smith to Saint Joseph's Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Mich. While his symptoms have subsided, he will stay in Detroit for further testing and not travel with the team to Milwaukee.

11.13.09 - DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks have announced today that Josh Howard will be out indefinitely as he continues to rehabilitate his left ankle from offseason surgery. No timetable has been set for his return.

10.12.09 - DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks announced today that forward Shawn Marion has suffered a mild strain to his right calf. Marion is listed as day-to-day and will return to practice when symptoms subside.

09.22.09 - DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks announced that forward Tim Thomas underwent arthroscopic surgery today to repair torn cartilage in his right knee. Mavericks' team physician Dr. T.O. Souryal performed the surgery at Texas Sports Medicine. A timetable for his return has not been set.

09.16.09 - DALLAS - Forward Tim Thomas will undergo arthroscopic surgery to his injured right knee the Dallas Mavericks announced today. Thomas injured his right knee while working out at his home in Southern California and is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday, Sept. 22 for a suspected cartilage injury.

The surgery will be performed in Dallas by team orthopedic surgeon T.O. Souryal. A timetable for Thomas' return will be set after the surgery.

05.28.09 - Dallas Mavericks guard Jose Juan Barea underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to repair a cartilage injury to his left shoulder. The surgery was performed in Dallas by Dr. Richard Levy of Texas Sports Medicine. A timetable for his return has not been set.

05.22.09 - Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to his left wrist and left ankle in New York on Thursday. He will return to Dallas this weekend to begin his rehabilitation.

03.25.09 - The Dallas Mavericks announced today that Mavericks forward Devean George had arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday to remove loose fragments from a cartilage injury sustained at Portland on March 11. No timetable has been set for his return.

03.17.09 - The Dallas Mavericks announced that guard/forward Josh Howard will continue to treat and rehab his left ankle. He will receive a cortisone injection this week and will attempt to practice with the team later next week. Arthroscopic surgery will be planned to address chronic issues regarding his ankle at a later date.

03.15.09 - The Dallas Mavericks announced that Mavericks forward Devean George's right knee cartilage injury will require arthroscopic surgery. A timetable to return will be set after the surgery is performed. The injury occurred in Dallas' game at Portland on 3/11/09

03.09.09 - Attention Phoenix:
Forward Josh Howard (sore left ankle) will remain in Dallas and will miss the next two games in order to have more specialized testing done on his ankle.

03.07.09 - Josh Howard will not play in tonight's game against the Washington Wizards due to left ankle soreness. Howard left Thursday night's game against the Hornets in the second quarter with the injury and did not return. Howard is listed as day-to-day.

03.02.09 - Jose Juan Barea (broken teeth) will see the team dentist in the morning and will re-join the team in Oklahoma City later in the day.

02.09.09 - The Dallas Mavericks announced today that Mavericks guard Jason Terry had successful surgery to stabilize the fourth metacarpal fracture in his left hand.

02.07.09 - Dallas guard Jason Terry fractured the fourth metacarpal on his left hand in Saturday night's game against Chicago. Terry did not return to the game. His status will be updated at a later date.

11.10.08 - Josh Howard did not play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers with a sprained left wrist. Howard is listed as day-to-day with the injury.
