Avery Johnson |
Congratulations to Mavs guard Avery Johnson who became just the second player in NBA history under six feet tall to play in 1,000 career games when he checked into the game at Portland on March 28th. AJ joins Houston's Calvin Murphy on the list. Murphy played in 1,002 games.
"People don't realize how much 1,000 games is," said Mavs GM/Head Coach Don Nelson. "And to be a guy who is undersized and has really survived on his work ethic and toughness, it's quite an achievement."
