DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks have announced plans for the home games during the First Round of the 2008 NBA Playoffs. As the team takes on the New Orleans Hornets, the Mavs have come up with exciting activities for fans to participate in as they help cheer the Mavs to the NBA Finals.
The following is an outline of important information and entertaining activities set to take place during the First Round:
- Mavs Blue Zone
The Mavs need fans to show their support and wear blue to every home playoff game! The official 2008 Playoffs t-shirt is available at a special offer of Buy One Get One Free for the first round of the playoffs. The t-shirt can be purchased at Mavgear.com, the "Ultimate Fan Shop" at NorthPark Center, or American Airlines Center Fan Shop.
- In-Arena Giveaways/Ticket Information
Game 4:
Tickets - use tickets marked Round 1, Game B, Home Game 2
Giveaways -Over 10,000 clappers and 10,000 placard megaphones will be placed in seats.
- Party on the AT&T Plaza
Prior to all home games, the Mavs will host pregame parties at the AT&T Plaza located on the south side of American Airlines Center starting two hours before tipoff. The parties will feature emcee Ali D, music provided by Ro Parrish, performances by the Mavs ManiAACs and Drumline, interactive games and activities, the Rowdy Proud Loud painted fan contest, ticket and prize giveaways, and much more!
ESPN's Galloway and Company will broadcast live from the Party on the AT&T Plaza Friday, April 25th from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Fans can come early and enjoy food, drinks, games, and prize giveaways leading up to the 7 p.m. tipoff.

Dave & Buster's will be the official home for Mavs away game watch parties. Fans can join the Mavs ManiAACs at the 75 and Walnut Hill location one hour prior to tipoff. There will also be ticket and great merchandise giveaways.
- Live Remotes with 106.1 KISS FM
Join 106.1 KISS FM and the Mavs Street Team in celebrating the playoffs throughout the Metroplex at special locations including Sweet Tomatoes, Rodeo Ford, Portrait Homes, and 7-11. Fans will have the opportunity to win playoff tickets and merchandise as well as interact with the ManiACCs, Street Team, Dancers, Mavs Man, and Champ. Rowdy Proud Loud Zone presented by adidas and Academy Sports & Outdoors - Free tickets
will be given to the painted fans with the most spirit through the RPL Zone. Painted fans can meet at the Mavs Excursion on the AT&T Plaza two (2) hours prior to tip off to sign up for the tickets. The tickets will be awarded by the Mavs Street Team one hour before tipoff.
- New Mavs Interactive Sites
Mavs Playoff Central: The Mavs have created a special playoff website section on mavs.com which will be the source of all important Playoff information including game times/dates, ticket info, team news, contests and promotions, and much more.
Official Mavs Facebook: Add the Dallas Mavericks as a friend on Facebook to stay connected with Mavs fans, participate in discussions, and stay updated on all the latest Mavs news and events.
- Playoff Banners
To commemorate the 2008 Playoffs, the Mavs and Stars have installed 110 pole banners around American Airlines Center, along with larger supergraphic banners on the West side of the building.
- TV and Radio Game Broadcasts
TXA 21
TXA 21, the broadcast partner for the Mavs, will be televising all First Round games. Coverage will begin one hour prior to tipoff. Brad Davis will provide commentary, while Mark Followill will handle play-by-play. Laura Green will continue as sideline reporter.
ESPN Radio 103.3 FM
ESPN Radio 103.3 FM will carry all Mavs playoff games and will feature Chuck Cooperstein calling all the action, with Bob Ortegal providing as analyst.
99.1 KFZO-FM La Calle
All Mavs playoff games can be heard on 99.1 KFZO-FM La Calle. Victor Villalba will continue to call all the action as the voice of the Dallas Mavericks Spanish Broadcast.
