Mavs Ballkids
How are Dallas Mavericks ballkids chosen?
Each year, 48 Dallas Mavericks Ballkids are chosen from the approximately 2,000 Dallas Mavericks Hoop Camp participants. The ballkids must be between the ages of 12 and 17, display a good work ethic, have good grades in school, and have a great attitude. They perform the following duties on game nights at American Airlines Center:
- Hand out promotional items to fans at the doors.
- Keep the AA Center floor dry and help the players and coaches on
the visiting and home team benches.
- Assist with NBA All-Star ballotting
- Assist with game-night operations as needed to ensure the evening runs smoothly
