Are you interested in becoming a Dallas Mavericks Dancer?

Mavericks Dancer Prep Classes will be held at Elevation Fitness Club from June 20, 2011 through July 20, 2011 and will be taught by current Mavs Dancers.

There will be two classes per night, each class one hour long, and will be held Monday through Thursday, 7:00-8:00pm and 8:00-9:00pm.

These classes are not mandatory, but are designed to prepare dancers, 18 years old and up, for the Mavericks Dancers Audition that will be held in late July or early August (date TBD).

You must purchase “class cards” ahead of time.

Class cards can be purchased at the Mavericks office located at 2909 Taylor Street, Dallas TX 75226 (the corner of Malcolm X and Taylor St. in Deep Ellum).

The office is open 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Cash or check will be accepted. No credit cards please.

Pricing for class cards will be as follows:

1 class = $15.00

5 classes = $65.00

10 classes = $110.00

15 classes = $150.00

20 classes = $180.00

25 classes = $200.00

When arriving for class, wear anything moveable and comfortable, with tennis shoes.

You will not need to know any routines or steps in advance. Everything you need to know will be taught in the classes.

2010-2011 will mark the 22nd year the Dallas Mavericks Dancers have been entertaining basketball fans. Considered among the best in the NBA, the squad includes professional dancers who will appear at all Mavericks home games. The Dancers are also active in the community, making numerous public appearances throughout the Metroplex.

Mallory Mills is the Director of the Dallas Mavericks Dancers, and is a highly respected dancer and accomplished choreographer. Mallory has been dancing for the past 22 years, the last 7 professionally for the Dallas Mavericks. Her 22 years of dance experience include working for American Dance and Drill Team Company and The Dallas Powerhouse of Dance under the direction of Shella Sattler. Mallory served as captain of her high school drill team, and was an accomplished dancer winning 3 solo National Dance Champion titles. During her time with the Dallas Mavericks she was selected to dance on the first ever NBA All-Star Dance Team at the 2007 Las Vegas NBA All-Star game. Mallory also represented the NBA and the Dallas Mavericks at NBA promotional events in the Philippines and South Korea in conjunction with NBA Asia. Today she works with aspiring dancers on both competitive and high school dance teams providing dance instruction, direction and choreography.
