Meet the Director: Shella Sattler

The Dallas Mavericks Dancers are in their 21st year of entertaining basketball fans. Considered among the best in the NBA, the 2009-10 squad includes professional dancers who will appear at all Mavericks home games. The Dancers are also very active in the community, making numerous public appearances throughout the Metroplex.

Shella Sattler, a widely-respected and experienced dance instructor and choreographer, is the director of the squad. Sattler is the founder and director of the Dallas Power House of Dance and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University. She also received a full gymnastics scholarship to Texas Women’s University. She has been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, SMU Cheerleader, Dallas Mavericks Dancer and L.A. Clippers Cheerleader. She is currently in her twelfth year as the Director of the Dallas Mavericks Dancers and Choreographer for the Dallas Mavericks ManiAACs.
