Trees for Wins Recap

On Friday, April 2nd, Mavs front office staff, Mavs Dancers and ManiAACs, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pauline Medrano, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children patients, the City of Dallas, Central Dallas Ministries (CDM) AmeriCorps, Friends of Reverchon Park, Citizen Foresters, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalist and Arborilogical Services, Tree Care Experts all came out to Reverchon Park in Dallas to help plant 50 trees as part of the Mavs Trees for Wins program. For each win the Mavs tally this season (through the playoffs), one tree will be planted at Reverchon Park.

In the afternoon, Mavs forward DeShawn Stevenson came out to help plant some of the trees, along with patients from Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. A variety of trees were planted throughout the park, including Live Oak, Bur Oak, Lace Bark Elm and Maple.

The trees will be cared for by the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department and Arborilogical Services, Tree Care Experts.
