Mavs Host Annual Holiday Party for Children

This year, the Mavs have teamed up with 300 Dallas and Big Brothers Big Sisters to host their annual holiday party. On Wednesday, 200 Bigs and their Littles will have the chance to meet all of the Dallas Mavericks players and challenge them at bowling and other games.
The kids and their mentors will also have the chance to meet the Dallas Mavericks Dancers and Santa Claus.
Dirk Nowtizki and Jason Terry both participate in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and are Bigs to local children.
About Big Brothers Big Sisters:
Big Brothers Big Sisters believes that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. A donor-supported volunteer organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters places caring adults in the lives of children in one-to-one mentoring relationships. Through the positive impact of those friendships, children with a Big Brother or Big Sister are more likely to graduate from high school and are less likely to begin using drugs, begin using alcohol or engage in negative conflict.
