In an effort to bring smiles to some kids’ faces on Valentine’s Day, Shella Sattler, Director of the Dallas Mavericks Dancers, along with Dallas Mavericks Dancers Lindsay, Mallory, Jenna and Michelle visited with patients at Children's Medical Center during a special Valentine’s Day party.
“We were very excited to be able to take part in this party. It’s never fun for any child to be in the hospital and to be able to put a smile on every child’s face and maybe give them a moment to forget where they are is the least we can do,” said
Shella Sattler, Director of the Dallas Mavericks Dancers.
The ladies showed off some of the moves they are famous for, while the kids and their parents watched. Afterwards the girls got some of the patients onto the dance floor to dance with them.
"Performing for them gave them a little excitement today. I know they have a lot going on and it's hard on them and their families. To go through what a lot of these kids go through shows how much strength they have and they inspire us," said Mavs Dancer Michelle Keys.
The Dancers also autographed posters for the kids and posed for pictures.
