DALLAS (April 21, 2006) – The Mavs are pleased to announce that a total of $22,000 will be donated to Jonathan’s Place. Mavs Forward Dirk Nowitzki is matching Bob’s Steak & Chop House’s donation of $11,000. Together, Bob’s and Dirk are donating $200 for each three-point field goal Dirk made during the 2005-06 regular season (110 total).

“Jonathan’s Place is making a tremendous difference in the lives of children and I am honored to be a part of that,” said Nowitzki. “This donation is my small way of thanking them for everything they do in the Dallas community.”

For more than a decade, Jonathan’s Place has been taking care of the Dallas area’s youngest victims of abuse. Jonathan’s Place is an emergency shelter providing specialized services and 24-hour residential care to Dallas area abused, abandoned, neglected and drug affected children.
