On Monday, March 6 Devin Harris made a special trip to Fort Worth to visit the students at Rufino Mendoza Elementary School. Harris was there to congratulate the kids on all of their efforts in the Mavs Reading Challenge. The 2nd-4th graders read over 693,000 minutes in a two-month time frame!
Devin talked to the kids about the importance of reading, getting an education, listening to their teachers and being on time for school. The kids also had the chance to ask Devin a few questions ranging from what his favorite subject in school was (Math) to if it is easier to shoot a three or dunk a basketball. Four lucky students who asked questions received a signed Devin Sprite Jersey.
Congratulations to the school for all of their hard work!
