
The Dallas Mavericks and Flowserve want to recognize elementary and middle school students who are either excelling in school or have made significant improvements between grading periods.
Thirty (30) winners will be selected and each will receive:
A Mavs goody bag, which includes a $50 Mavs Fan Shop gift card and Mavs paraphernalia;
Two (2) tickets to the Mavs vs. Denver Nuggets game on April 12, 2013, where you will be recognized on court at halftime!
Nominations are due by Friday, March 1, 2013. If you are a teacher, principal or counselor and would like to nominate one of your student(s), you can download the application form here. Please be as specific as possible on the nomination form in describing each student’s academic success.

The Dallas Mavericks and The UPS Store have again teamed up to present the 9th annual Teacher Recognition Program, created to recognize North Texas educators for their work in the classroom.
Principles, parents and students (grades K-12) may nominate a teacher by filling out the nomination form available below, and at The UPS Store locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
All nomination forms must be legible and filled out in their entirety, including an essay of 150 words or less explaining why the teacher should be recognized. All entries must be received to the Mavs offices by 5 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013.
Ten (10) winning teachers will each receive $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for their school, as well as tickets to the Mavs vs. Suns game on April 10th where they will be recognized during halftime.

Mavs Black History Month Challenge
In celebration of Black History Month, the Dallas Mavericks and the South Dallas Cultural Center will provide DFW Metroplex middle and high school students the opportunity to compete in the 5th Annual Black History Month Challenge.
Students must attend a high school or middle school within 75-miles of American Airlines Center and complete an artistic project answering the question: What does equality mean to you? Submissions should be in the form of a visual arts piece (drawings, paintings, photography, crafts, ceramics, etc.).
The Black History Month Challenge winners will receive Mavs prizes and be recognized during halftime of the Mavs vs. Brooklyn Nets game on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Winning projects will be displayed in the Augusta Savage Youth Gallery at the South Dallas Cultural Center from April 6- April 30. Three winners will be selected.
Projects must be completed by an individual student, and no class or team projects will be considered.
Applications are due into the Mavs offices by Thursday, February 28, 2013.

ExxonMobil Honorary Co-Captain
ExxonMobil and the Dallas Mavericks are looking for high school students, grades 9-12, who have a love for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
To applaud and encourage these bright students to continue their pursuit of excellence in STEM studies, ExxonMobil wants to recognize our future leaders at a Dallas Mavericks game as an ExxonMobil Honorary Co-Captain!
As ExxonMobil Honorary Co-Captain, students will receive two tickets to a Mavs game, shoot around on court pre-game, sit on the bench during team introductions and meet the Mavs team captain at half court!
One ExxonMobil Honorary Co-Captain will be selected for each Mavs home game!
To nominate a student, teachers, principals and counselors may fill out this form and submit it before April 1, 2013. There is no limit to the amount of students that can be nominated.
