    Reading Challenge
The Mavs are again offering the annual Mavs Reading Challenge open to all 2nd-5th grade Metroplex students, which supports the NBA's Read to Acheive/Lee Para Aprender literacy program that promotes the value of reading and online literacy and encourages families and adults to read regularly with young children.

The Reading Challenge's focus is to encourage students in grades 2-5 to read in their leisure time and to teach them that reading can be fun! The program runs from mid-November to mid-January and prizes are awarded based on the number of minutes a student reads. The school that reads the most minutes overall wins a pep rally from a Mavericks player.

Schools interested in partcipating should contact Gina Calvert at
    gina.calvert@dallasmavs.com.

Special thanks to MetroPCS for their support of this program.
