Over the last 20 years, the Dallas Mavericks have granted thousands of donation requests in an effort to further North Texas communities and their organizations. Donations have ranged from national organization fundraisers to school raffles. Because the needs in North Texas are so great, guidelines have been implemented in order to assist as many organizations as possible. If you are interested in seeking a donation, please review the following guidelines.

How to Request an Autographed Item for an Auction or Raffle:
1. All requests must be received in writing via fax or mail to the address below on the organization’s letterhead AT LEAST 60 DAYS IN ADVANCE of the event date.
2. Organizations MUST be a 501c (3) non-profit organization – please include a copy of your the organization’s non-profit tax ID number with your request, along with event details (date of the event, location, contact name, phone number and mailing address, and the purpose or mission statement of the organization)
3. Organizations MUST BE WITHIN 75 MILES of the DFW Metroplex to be considered.
4. Briefly describe of how the money raised will be spent.

All requests for autographed memorabilia are limited to auction and/or raffle activities designed to raise funds for non-profit, tax-exempt organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that have a 501©(3) IRS designation. It is our policy not to donate autographed merchandise or tickets to be used as prizes, volunteer recognition gifts or giveaways.

All requests are reviewed one month prior to the event date. Due to the high volume of requests that we receive, we are not able to respond to follow up phone calls or correspondence.

Follow Up:
We ask that organizations, which receive a donation from the Mavericks, return the follow-up report specifying the amount raised by our donation and the amount raised through the fundraising event. This report should be submitted to the Community Relations Department at the below address within one month of completion of your fundraising event. This information must be received in order to be eligible for a donation the following calendar year.

MONETARY DONATIONS and SPONSORSHIPS

Frequently Asked Questions:
If I send in an item (e.g. basketball, jersey, poster or trading card) can you have a player/ the team sign it?
Unfortunately, we are unable to have such items signed. Should you choose to still send an item, we cannot guarantee your item will be returned and we will not be responsible for lost items.

Can I receive more than one item for my event?
In order to fulfill as many requests as possible, we will only provide one item per organization per calendar year.

Are tickets ever given out as a donation?
Due to the limited number of tickets available, the Mavs are unable to donate game tickets to organziations for auction or raffle items. We do have a limited number of tickets purchased by our players to be designated for community groups throughout the season. Can I request what item I would like to receive for my event?
No. The Mavericks Community Relations department will make the final determination on what item is given out.

I received an item from the Mavs for my organization's event, but I would like to exchange it for another item. Is that possible?
No, we are not able to exchange items for other items.

I live outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Will you still make a donation to my organization? Unfortunately, due to the volume of requests we receive, we will only make donations to organizations within 75-miles of the Metroplex.
