“The opportunity to not only talk about the power of mentoring, but also to become a Big Brother myself is something that I feel very strongly about,” stated Mavericks Guard Devin Harris. “I know each of the Big Champions involved believes in the difference a role model can make for these kids.”
The complete list of Champions committed to promote mentoring and the Big Brothers Big Sisters message within North Texas include Troy Aikman (Dallas Cowboys), Derek Castillo (NBC Sports), Tony Dorsett (Dallas Cowboys), Devin Harris (Dallas Mavericks), Shannon Hori (CBS News), Eddie Johnson (FC Dallas), Ron Kirk (Former Dallas Mayor), Mike Modano (Dallas Stars), Brenden Morrow (Dallas Stars) and Drew Pearson (Dallas Cowboys).
Print ads feature the above Champions giving examples of mentors in their lives and will begin to appear in local publications and outdoor beginning today and will run through February. Each ad features the celebrity posing with a current Little Brother or Little Sister in the BBBSNT program.
