Mavericks Speakers Bureau
The Dallas Mavericks Speakers Bureau was created in a continued effort to make an impact in the community. The bureau consists of Mavericks broadcast announcers and staff who speak to community groups and organizations within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Topics include life on the road, coaching strategies, and motivational speeches. If your organization would like to request a Speaker for your event, please send your request to jessica.hunt@dallasmavs.com for consideration.
GUIDELINES:
- Your request must be received at least six weeks prior to the event.
- Please include: date, time, and location, size of group, contact name, phone number, and topic.
*** Consult the game schedule prior to submitting your request as some speakers are not available during home/road games.

Mark Followill - Mavs Television Play-by-Play
Mark Followill is entering his fourth season as the television play-by-play voice and his fifth overall with the team. For the past four seasons, Followill served as the radio play-by-play voice of the Mavs on ESPN Radio 103.3 FM.
Recently, Followill made his mark nationally as a play-by-play announcer on selected broadcasts of the NBA on ESPN Radio and was the voice of the network's 2005 and 2006 WNBA's Finals broadcasts. Followill came to the Mavericks after having worked for the seven years at KTCK in Dallas where he co-hosted a nightly talk show, served as sports anchor for the afternoon drivetime’s show The Hardline and hosted the Dallas Cowboys pre- and post-game shows from 1995-2000. Followill served as the play-by-play voice for SMU football in 1999 and 2000 on KTCK as well.
Prior to working at KTCK, Followill worked at the Texas State News Network, KTOK in Oklahoma City and KDNT in Denton, Texas. Followill attended North Texas from 1989-92 where he worked at the campus radio station KNTU.
Along with Brad Davis, Followill won awards from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for the state's best play-by-play broadcast in 2004 and 2005 and received a Katie Award from the Press Club of Dallas in 2002 for Best Play-by-Play Sportscast. |
