Untitled Document  |  | Mavericks Speakers Bureau The Dallas Mavericks Speakers Bureau was created in a continued effort to make an impact in the community. The bureau consists of Mavericks broadcast announcers and staff who speak to community groups and organizations within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Topics include life on the road, coaching strategies, and motivational speeches. If your organization would like to request a Speaker for your event, please send your request to jessica.hunt@dallasmavs.com for consideration. GUIDELINES: - Your request must be received at least six weeks prior to the event.

*** Consult the game schedule prior to submitting your request as some speakers are not available during home/road games. |  | Bob Ortegel - Mavs Television Analyst
Bob Ortegel is entering his 21st season as the Mavs television analyst and his 28th year as a TV basketball analyst, having also worked games on ESPN and ABC.
In the Summer of 2005, Ortegel appeared as an analyst in the Jerry Bruckheimer produced Disney movie called “Glory Road.” It is a story of the 1966 NCAA Basketball Championship that was won by Texas Western.
Ortegel served as the head basketball coach at Drake from1974-81. Prior to that he was the assistant coach at Drake from 1971-74. Bob has also spent time in the corporate world, working as an executive at ShowBiz Pizza Time, Inc (now Chuckie Cheese) and Merle Harmon’s FanFair.
Bob graduated from Bradley with an education degree where he also played basketball. He later added a master’s degree in education from Northern Michigan where he also served as an assistant coach.
He has four daughters and eight grandkids.
